Terms of Use

These conditions govern every use of this website. Accessing a page, reading its material, or submitting a search signifies agreement to all terms below. If you do not agree, discontinue use of the site.

NO FCRA USE. Trigg County Criminal History is privately owned and has no connection to a local, Kentucky, or federal government agency. This site and its advertising partners do not offer products for credit decisions, employment screening, insurance underwriting, tenant evaluation, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) purpose. The site is a guide to Trigg County, Kentucky criminal-record resources, not a private-investigation service or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site with no government affiliation. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or files documents on a visitor's behalf.

The guides identify custodians of Trigg County information, including the Trigg County Sheriff, Trigg Circuit Court Clerk, Kentucky State Police Criminal Identification and Records Branch, Kentucky Court of Justice AOC Records Unit, and Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect visitors to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of use, you must not:

  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools on these pages
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any account, system, or restricted area
  • Use site information to stalk, threaten, or harass another person
  • Interfere with performance or prevent others from accessing the website
  • Rely on site content for hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Violate any applicable local, Kentucky, federal, or other law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information from this website or a linked tool to intimidate, threaten, stalk, harass, or discriminate against anyone; such conduct may also violate criminal law. Kentucky's registry statutes, KRS 17.500-.580, govern dissemination and misuse of Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry information. Registry information is provided for public-safety awareness, never vigilante conduct, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not prepare consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. Our advertising partners likewise do not provide site services designed to assess job applicants, rental applicants, insurance risk, or creditworthiness. Information from this website or any linked tool must not be used to:

  • Make any other decision regulated by the FCRA
  • Set an insurance premium or evaluate creditworthiness
  • Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Make a hiring or termination decision

A check for an FCRA-regulated purpose must be obtained from the appropriate official Kentucky channel or a screening company that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. Although the guides describe Trigg County record procedures, they cannot determine how Kentucky law concerning a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement applies to a particular person. Consult a Kentucky-licensed attorney for that advice.

6. No Warranties

The entire site is offered "as is," without any guarantee that:

  • Outside search-provider results are complete or correct
  • All content is current, accurate, or exhaustive
  • Every page is free from errors, vulnerabilities, or defects
  • Service will be continuous or uninterrupted

Charges may be filed or dismissed, and records may later be sealed or expunged, so criminal-record information changes continually. Omissions and delays can occur. No page on this site is an official statement from the Trigg County Sheriff, a court, or another government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links to sheriff pages, court systems, Kentucky agencies, legal-aid organizations, and outside search services lead to platforms we do not control. We accept no responsibility for their content, prices, availability, or data practices. Review an outside service's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Trigg County Criminal History or its content partners own the website's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required before copying, adapting, distributing, or creating derivative material from that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from website use, including reliance on information found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your website use or violation of these terms, including associated legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Kentucky law governs these terms. The Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870-.884, governs requests to public agencies rather than this private website. Any dispute concerning use of this site must be brought in a court located in Kentucky.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A revised version takes effect when posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be suspended, restricted, or terminated at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in force. The affected language will be modified only to the extent needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
